How to Access and Use HBDI® Digital Profile Results

This article is for Certified Practitioners. It covers how to find a Thinker's HBDI® Digital results in Axon, how to give Thinkers access to their own results, and tips for using HBDI® Digital in debrief sessions.

How to View a Thinker's HBDI® Digital

Navigate to https://auth-st.herrmannsolutions.net/signin and log in to your account.
In the top navigation bar, click Practitioner Tools → Invitations & Assessments.
In the Axon top toolbar, click Search For → Assessments.
Use the Search Filters to find the Thinker.
In the results row, click View Profile.
On the profile, click the HBDI® Digital icon. The Thinker's HBDI® Digital opens within Axon.

How to Give Thinkers Access

How Thinkers get access depends on the access setting you choose when you create the invitation:

Let Thinkers access their results after a series of self-directed learning exercises: Thinkers unlock HBDI® Digital themselves when they finish the learning journey under My Journey.
I want to control when Thinkers access their results: Thinkers need an unlock code. Give them access in one of the two ways below.

Share the Unlock Code

Share the custom unlock code you set up on the invitation, or the Thinker's HBDI® Preference Code (for example, 1121), either during or after the debrief. Thinkers can unlock their results with either one.

Unlock a Profile Manually

In Axon, click Search For → Thinkers.
Find the Thinker and click View Profile.
Click Locked to unlock the profile.

Note: Unlocking from a Thinker's profile works for one Thinker at a time. To unlock everyone in an invitation, see How to Manually Unlock HBDI® Results in an Invitation.

Tips for Using HBDI® Digital in Debriefs

HBDI® Digital covers the same fundamentals as the paper reports and works well for both virtual and in-person sessions. Keep these points in mind:

Show access on a device. Display a mobile device or laptop in front of the group and walk through access in real time so Thinkers can follow along.
Slow down. Thinkers will be reading their results and listening to you at the same time.
Expect less eye contact. Thinkers may be looking down at their screens.
Watch for distractions. All Thinker Portal features are available during the session, which can lead to multitasking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can everyone unlock their results during a group workshop?

Yes. Choose the custom code option when you send the invitation, then share the code during the session. Check Wi-Fi access and any company firewalls ahead of time so Thinkers can get online.

I forgot to set up an unlock code. Can I fix that?

Yes. Edit the invitation and add an unlock code, or give each Thinker their HBDI® Preference Code. Editing the code won't re-lock results for Thinkers who have already unlocked them.

Where do I find the unlock code I set up?

Open the invitation's Edit Invitation screen and look under I want to control when Thinkers access their results, or check the Invitation Details page. To find a Thinker's Preference Code, open the Invitation Details or Group Details page after they complete the HBDI®.

What do the Unlock Status and Unlock Code columns mean?

On the Invitation Details and Group Details pages, Unlock Status shows whether the Thinker has opened their HBDI® Digital results. Unlock Code shows how the invitation was set up: with a custom code or with the Thinker's Preference Code.

Can I lock a Thinker's results again after they unlock them?

No. Once a Thinker's results are unlocked, they can't be locked again.

Can I edit older invitations to add an unlock code?

Yes. This isn't required, since all Thinkers can unlock their results with their Preference Code.

Can I still use paper packets?

Yes. HBDI® Digital can be a follow-up resource after Thinkers receive their paper packet. It stays locked until the Thinker enters their Preference Code or a custom code. Paper packets are a premium product and incur an additional fee.

What if a Thinker forgets their code?

They can click Unlock code help on the unlock screen, which tells them to contact their Certified Practitioner. If they can't reach you, they can contact Herrmann support.
